Man up!
Ties, bow ties, wide legged pants, jackets or combat boots, are items needed to pull off the "Boyish look" a la Annie Hall. It has became a trademark for style icons like Emmanuelle Alt and Diane Keaton among others.
Beware 'cause this look is only for unique and independent women.
I've never been, let's say a girly-girl and showing off a lot of skin has never been my thing, so I declare myself a faithful follower of this look.
I find this style very wild and sexy somehow, I believe is better when people try to imagine what's underneath, a little detail here and there bla bla(the fantastic art of teasing, but that my friends is another story) or better said, never show your cards before the game starts haha.. it gives you some kind of mysticism and confidence. xx

OMG! Dsquared2 pre-fall 2012.
Ok, so Dsquared2 presented their pre-fall 2012 collection, how can this be, I ask myself? If winter started just two days ago in this side of the world? Well I don't have all the answers but I have a hunch that next year velvet blazers are gonna be hot... again, after 8 years of storing in the memory lane(I have mine in a box but ready to mingle any day now). Lovely isn't it? By the way, about the collection, love the shoes, love the pants, love the knit. xx

Christmas joy!

After so long of not coming home, finally I'm here.  I've done nothing but eat, rest, eat a little more and sleep. I haven't even take off my pjs since I got here (as I promised).
I'm enjoying big time, so much that I'm even cooking (yes, me the I never ever cook girl... cooking). Today I cooked my first tuna fish souffle and it didn't suck! And my next task is to wrap the christmas gifts but I'm kind of bored of the regular gift wrap with the snowflakes and christmas trees on it so I think I'll try something more fun.
I definitely wanna try the kraft paper and the pom poms.. I took the idea from here.

This is also very suitable when you realize you didn't buy enough christmas wrapping paper and you don't have enough time and the energies to go back to the stores and start hunting for some left overs. Instead, we better stay at home enjoy ourselves with a delicious christmas punch, a cheesy movie, take a dive into the boxes where we keep all kind of crap from past parties, birthdays and christmases and turn it into something nice! xx

Meet the house of...
Pics and article inspo, the coveteur.

Before I start, I want to dedicate this post to my friend Sandra who apparently enjoys this section of my blog (I don't blame her, I keep it very interesting haha).
That said, let's get started. Jodie Snyder, Co-founder, President of DANNIJO (jewelry), New York started the company along with her sister Danielle in 2008 and since then they have remained at the top.
About her apartment, it has an Americana Western vibe and she buys furniture like she buys accessories – always an emotional purchase and never enough space.
!Before she became a jewelry designer she studied to be a mime! Can you believe that?
They have collaborated with The man Repeller (famous and hilarious blogger wich I follow by the way) for the MR.DANNIJO collection, (the one with the mustaches).

Bjorg 2012.
People who follow my blog regularly knows that I'm such a jewelry sucker. And those who do not follow my blog.. well guys: I'm such a jewelry sucker.
Now that everyone follows me I just have one question, how is possible that all that coolness comes from the same designer? how Bjørg Nordli-Mathisen? And as we ask ourselves how she does it, let's enjoy her site and the whole thing here.

 The ancient art of layering.
For those who don't know and are wondering what is the layering.. well my friends, is at simple as it sounds.
The layering is to put up all the clothing as possible without looking like a crazy tasteless person (no offense to crazy tasteless people). Oh and layering also includes accessories.
I know this wont be hard for any of you to carry out now that winter's here. And for those who are in summertime you can try with lighter stuff for starting. If you need a little inspo, here's a little fun tutorial, now go!

Satchel bag.
We don't have Black friday in Mexico but I know this date is a very serious day for a fashion lover. Tell me about it..
But anyway, today I feel a little lazy to post(of course, after 200 000 hours in front of my computer trying to find the best deals on stores!! is very understandable), but I just wanted to show you these gorgeous satchel bags from 3.1 Phillip Lim that I found while visiting Saks today, no deal here, small detail that makes me want'em even more.
If I'm very lucky probably next black friday I'll make them mine haha. Have a nice weekend!!

Easy+cool hairdo = let's try it!

The fishtail bun: Perfect for when you have long hair but litte time in the mornings and yet you want so much to look presentable and different for once at work (or wherever you spend your day!)

Ok, step 1: Start by pulling up your hair into a high ponytail and   tie it with an elastic.
Step 2: Starting at the top of your head, begin creating a fishtail braid. This is actually very easy (if I can, you can). First you have to grab small pieces of hair from the back part of your ponytail and bring them up front and start knitting one by one from side to side. If you need a better explanation(and I bet you do,'cos I suck at giving instructions)here's a tutorial.

Ok, once you have finished braiding your entire ponytail then, Step 3: secure it with an elastic hair band and begin pulling apart the braid to make it look thicker and a little messy (if you feel like it).
Step 4: Grab the end of your braid and pull it up and around the base of the ponytail creating a bun. Secure it place with bobby pins, then take the ends of your braid and tuck'em into the bun to hide and you're all set!
Please be so kind to practice first before you use it for a serious  purpose haha. xx
